SKY Soccer is excited to announce that the premier introductory soccer program in the country, Mighty Kicks, will be providing the curriculum for the 2-5 year old program starting in the fall of 2019. Mighty Kicks, which services over 250 children locally through schools, daycare centers, and a Saturday program will join operations with SKY Soccer to offer the largest introductory soccer program for ages 2-5 in the state with a fully developed, professional curriculum and a highly trained coaching staff. This program plans to serve over 300 children ages 2-5 every Saturday morning. Mighty Kicks teaches thousands of kids across the country using a proven curriculum and developmentally appropriate soccer instruction. Established by pro soccer player Luke Vercollone in 2008 in Richmond, VA, Mighty Kicks has locations across the country and has received praise from the likes of former US National Team players Clint Dempsey and Brad Davis. Zach Salchli will oversee the Mighty Kicks curriculum and program. Coach Salchli is the Director of Student Athlete Development for the WKU Women's Soccer program and holds his M.Ed from Vanderbilt University specializing in curriculum development. Coach Salchli is currently completing his USSF "C" License and Advanced National Diploma and will also serve as head coach for the 2009 and 2005 Girls this year, as well as running the Youth Development Program (YDP) for ages 7-8 this season for the girls' soccer program.
