This month we have TWO Player Spotlights of the Month...Avery Burton and Braden Widener!

Avery and Braden are 10 and both play for SKY Pre-Academy Girls and Boys' U11 Teams.

A little about Avery...

Name: Avery Kate Burton

Age: 10 Years Old

Other than soccer, what are some other activites you enjoy participating in: Running Club, reading, and learning to play guitar.

What is your favorite thing about playing soccer: Everything about playing soccer is fun! I love playing different teams and improving skills by playing harder teams.

If you could meet any professional soccer player, who would it be and why: Alex Morgan. She is an inspiration to me and never gives up!

What goals are you working towards now: I am working on learning to shoot goals from the side of the field. 

If you had to describe what type of player you are with one word, what would it be: Encouraging

What is your highlight as a SKY Academy Player: Scoring a goal in my first game coming back after an injury. I loved helping my team win the game!

A little about Braden...

Name: Braden Widener

Age: 10 Years Old

Other than soccer, what are some other activites you enjoy participating in: Basketball, playing outside, playng Xbox, chilling with my family.

What is your favorite thing about playing soccer: Scoring goals and being with my teammates.

If you could meet any professional soccer player, who would it be and why: Delle Ali. He is just magic.

What goals are you working towards now: Making the ODP team and being a better player. 

If you had to describe what type of player you are with one word, what would it be: Magic

What is your highlight as a SKY Academy Player:Socring a free kick in the 2015 Tennessee United Cup. I was having a bad game, but that goal got us going. I scored two more goals and we ended up winning the game!
